You can take the cape off here.
We know that being the “strong Black woman,” superwoman, wonder woman, has its perks.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to be able to do it all? They say we all have the same 24 hours in a day as Beyoncé. Right?
But those 24 hours feel real tight when you’re doing it all yourself.
Wouldn’t you like to have one place where you don’t have to be “that girl” for a moment?
Asking for help doesn’t make you weak.
In this place, you don’t have to be “that girl.”
Here, we will see you for who you are and help you see that for yourself.
We’ll pull back the layers of past pain, trauma, and life experiences that have worn you down, so we can get to the core issues.
Once you know that your worth is the essence of who you are, not what you can do, you’ll be free to ask for what you need.
No, you’re not just sensitive. Yes, your feelings matter, even if you have been trying to push them down for the majority of your life.
You deserve to be well taken care of and supported.
It’s time to dispel the myths that being vulnerable and supported means “you’re weak.”
Our goal is to help you build the confidence you need to know what you want precisely, communicate that, and hold people accountable for meeting your needs.
We will ensure you can trust yourself – because only from a place of trust can you genuinely live authentically.
Your internal wisdom is essential to your transformation.
And we exist…
…to empower Black women in their mind, body, and soul.
The Worth, Wisdom, and Wellness Center is a space where you don’t have to explain what it means to be a Black woman in America.
We get you at the most fundamental level. And we understand that being Black does not mean we are a monolith. Yes, we are all Black Girl Magic here, and we know that your experience is as unique as much as shared.
We honor and acknowledge the scars that historical and generational traumas have left on our communities and our families while building a legacy and a future that will make our ancestors proud.
There is room for all of you in this place.
On this healing journey, you’ll learn so much about what it means to be you.
Healing, Life, and Wellness are your birthrights. We are here to remind you of that.
You deserve to have a more abundant life.
It’s time to reclaim your healing, take back your life, and invest in your wellness.
And we are ready to travel through it all with you.
In your work with any of our clinicians, you will unpack the life experiences that have made you who you are today, identify the pain points that need healing, and support you in getting the relief you desire.
We don’t just talk about it. We want you to BE about it.
Throughout this transformation process, you will learn to fully step into who you are and know your worth – making you more confident and helping you learn to trust yourself. Afterward, you will understand what wellness looks like exactly in your life and how to achieve it.
If you’re ready to know what thriving can look like for you, take that first step.
“You don’t have to see the entire staircase, just take the first step.”

For Us. By Us.
Gain self-worth, wisdom, and wellness!
Hello, I’m Dr. Marcuetta Sims, licensed psychologist, yoga and meditation teacher, and certified clinical trauma professional.
I founded the Worth, Wisdom, and Wellness Center because representation matters. I wanted every Black woman who desired to work with a therapist who looks like them to find a space to feel seen.
I wanted to create a safe space for Black women to shield themselves from racism; receive excellent, quality care; and process and work through the traumas of being a Black woman in this country.
Being authentic is part of the process.
Our team is passionate about uplifting our clients and modeling that there is another way. Our identities play a central role in our work. But they only complement the standards of excellence that we incorporate into every aspect of our clinical work, based on our training and expertise.
We are committed to showing up fully as our authentic selves because we can’t ask you to do something we aren’t first willing to do.
We are trauma and anxiety specialists who take our clients’ well-being and transformation seriously, very seriously.
We integrate our identities into our work, allowing us to show up fully and create an authentic environment to feel comfortable and supported doing the much-needed work to heal and transform.
